MISS EBBY

Yesterday we received Ebby, a 27 year old dun mare. She was surrendered to us by a family in Greenwood county who could no longer afford to care for her. She is severely emaciated. Her feet are in pretty good shape, but her teeth need floated. She will be going to the vet on Wednesday to get that taken care of. We are feeding her in small amounts several times a day right now - and will gradually increase that as she gets stronger.

HARLEY

Harley is a very sweet guy who was adopted a little over a year ago. His forever family absolutely adores him. He has had problems with ringbone in the past, and the last few months he has been losing weight. Despite their efforts and the vet’s guidance, he just can’t seem to keep any weight on him. They fear he may have cancer. The twinkle in his eyes is gone, and it is with a heavy heart that we say he will be humanely euthanized this afternoon. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they face this difficult decision.

THOMAS

Our sweet boy Thomas went to his forever home a few days ago. From the day he arrived at the rescue, we found there was one thing very consistent about this gentle giant... it is impossible for someone to meet him and not fall in love with him.

HOPE AND GRACE

Mama and baby now have names. Yay! Hope (baby) and Grace (mama). I shot this video Tuesday (08/10/10) evening while I was at the rescue for a board meeting. Hope had a little pep in her step. Enjoy!!
